Venezuela and Cuba agreed 116 cooperation
projects

agreed 116 new cooperation projects in
fifteen areas during the 5th Mixed Commission
of the Cuba-Venezuela Integral Cooperation
Agreement, that concluded on September

According
to the Integral Cooperation Agreement,
Venezuela sells Cuba around 53.000 oil
barrels a day at a preferential price
while thousands of Cuban professionals
and technicians in the areas of health,
sports and education collaborate in Venezuela
The
delegations in charge of negotiations
were led by Cuban Minister of External
Investment and Collaboration, Marta Lomas
and the Venezuelan Minister of Energy
and Mines, Rafael Ramirez.
A
the end of the meeting, Lomas explained
that the island will provide medicines,
vaccines ad medical equipment and there
will be 33 technical assessments in the
areas of integral nursing and community
management.
Cuban
cooperation will also involve training
of Venezuelan sport teams, as well as
an agro-alimentary program, plague and
disease control, increase in the production
of organic fertilizers and the development
of organoponic systems and intensive vegetable
gardens (
