Venamcham's opinion poll: Business sector observed increase in the volume of sales in 2004
(El Universal) - "(…) During the meeting 'How to budget for the year 2005' organized by the Venezuelan-American Chamber of Commerce and Industry - Venamcham - the opinion analyst Luis Vicente León, director of Datanalisis, declared that the Executive will enhance the delivery of official dollars 'trying to reach the reactivation of the production and of the offer, as well as the fight against inflation'. 'A devaluation this year is quite unlikely and in 2005 there won't be interest nor necessity to apply a new depreciation of the currency'. (…)

74 per cent of the companies think that Chávez will stay for more than three years at the Presidency, 'which means that they are making business plans with him in power; this sector is starting to find mechanisms to operate in this process and the Government will open new opportunities, in particular for those companies that don't participate directly with the political fact'.(…)

Venamcham did an opinion poll during the meeting. Out for 72 inquiries, the result shows that 73 per cent of the participants observed an increase in the volume of sales between 2003 and 2004; 10 per cent said that it decreased and 17 per cent that it stayed the same (…)".
